Desiree Davison, PLPC
In the spring and summer of 2023, I ended up in the hospital. I came in with dreams of having an empowering, deeply personal birth–but those dreams were suddenly replaced by the nightmare of a traumatic C-section I wasn’t prepared for. When I was well enough to return for my postpartum visit, I was flooded with grief and my acceptance of my postpartum depression. I left never wanting to walk inside that building again, for fear of being reminded of what I had lost and instead experienced.
Now, I am collaborating with Saige as a therapist–here to support others as they navigate the hard, messy, and beautiful journey into parenthood. I come with purpose, resilience, and a profound understanding of birth trauma, postpartum mental health, and the complex emotions these experiences can carry. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, evidenced-based care, drawing on extensive research that highlights how our modern western culture impacts parental well-being.
I bring openness, honesty, and compassion to our work and invite the same from my clients. My services are for people of all genders, sexual orientations, and family arrangements. If you are wondering whether we might be a good fit, I offer free 15-minute virtual or phone consultations. Let’s talk, connect, and see if this next step feels right for you.
